“The Lady in The Van”
Written by British playwright Alan Bennett, this play chronicles his relationship with a homeless woman who lived in a van on his driveway. This is the fourth production in the 2010-2011 season from Langham Court Theatre company.

Phillips Comedy Night Featuring Carilynn Nicholson: Phillips Comedy Night occurs the second Sunday of each month featuring improv, stand-up and sketch comedy. Each event features a different headliner. This month’s feature performer is Carilynn Nicholson with special musical guest Riel Hahn.

Dining Out for Life
Restaurants around North America are participating in the Dining Out for Life event that raises money for AIDS organizations that help people living with the disease. Restaurants throughout the island will be donating 25% of their food bill and Stella Artois will be donating $1 for every beer sold. The extensive list of participating restaurants includes Fire & Water Chop House, Ferris’ Oyster Bar, Canoe, Lure, Sticky Wicket and many more.

Westshore Quilters’ Guild presents “Quilts Along the Shore”

The fourth weekend in March 2011 is the long-awaited date for the Westshore Quilt Guild’s third non-juried quilt show, “Quilts Along the Shore”. The anticipated 300 quilts plus on display will be enhanced by a song challenge, community vignettes, merchant mall, demonstrations, quilt raffle, gift shop and games for children and adults alike. Held once every two years, the Westshore Quilt Guild show will focus on highlighting the techniques and workmanship of local quilters, with all skill levels and quilt sizes represented.
